Chemo starts tomorrow

I am starting chemo tomorrow morning. I will meet with the oncologist at 10 and my treatment is supposed to start at 10:30. Once I am all hooked up it will last 3 hours. My mom and Kate (my friend from college) have been here all week. Kate has been quite the trooper and has been Tennasyn's life sized doll. She has made Kate wear a bib while she "feeds" her food from her kitchen, they have played beauty shop and brushed each others hair, etc. Kate, you are the best! My CT scan and bone scan both came back negative...which means that the rest of my body was clear - hallelujah! My "Shave the Head" party is on Saturday if you would like to join us. It will be at 3 with the shaving at 4:30 at Hilary's house. Thanks as always for your prayers and for now I am assuming that the chemo will not affect me...so that is my thinking until it proves me wrong!

I also wanted to share this with you. One of the moms in my mom's group posted this and I thought it was perfect!

There once was a woman who woke up one morning,
Looked in the mirror and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.

Well, she said, I think I'll braid my hair today.
So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up,
Looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.

"H-M-M," she said, I think I'll part my hair down the middle today.
So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up,
Looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.

Well, she said, today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail.
So she did and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up,
Looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.

"YEA!" she exclaimed, I don't have to fix my hair today!!!
