My right breast felt quite a bit denser than my left one while I was pregnant with Cole. I asked my OB and he said it was probably just due to pregnancy. I had not had an official breast exam since being pregnant with Tennasyn. So needless to say since I have been pregnant or nursing for almost 3 years they said that it would not be an accurate assessment. I made an appointment for a physical and insisted they do a breast exam since it still felt much denser than the other one. She said that she did indeed feel a small lump and ordered the mammogram and ultrasound. That was Friday and I had a biopsy on Tuesday. I found out that it was in fact malignant on Wednesday afternoon and will have my MRI on Monday. Luckily everything is moving quickly thus far. I want to encourage you to trust your body and if you feel something is not quite right to seek it out!! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers and I will keep you posted!
