After a fun trip home for David and Karen's wedding, I had to start prepping for my colonoscopy on Monday. Note to all: do not drink wine the night before fasting for the next 36 hours! It wasn't that bad, the worst part was that my playgroup had our family dinner night at Hilary's and I couldn't eat any of the yummy food. On Monday, I went to the Baylor Day Surgery Center with Mom while Ms. Francis kept the kids. I was supposed to check in at 10:30 for an 11:30 appointment. I told Mom she could go run errands right after we get there and that I didn't mind waiting by myself. She left to go run a few errands and they give me this buzzer to let me know when to report to pre-op. 11:30 came and went and of course I was getting a little impatient and very hungry!! At about 11:50 my buzzer went off and I got excited about finally getting to go to pre-op. They I said, why again am I so excited?? It was just funny that everyone in the waiting room was waiting for their buzzers to go off like we had all won a great prize! Anyway, the colonoscopy went great and I don't have to have another one for 5 years. I meet with the neurologist tomorrow and then I should have a head to toe A-OK! Thanks for the prayers this past week and thanks Mom for coming up yet again to rescue us!! Love to all!
